Who is Fiona Off the Stage?
Hi! I’m Fiona Bilkey, and I am a performer, but there are so many more things in my life that make up what makes me… well, me. Off the stage, I am a coffee connoisseur, a cat lover, a sister, an exhausted retail employee, a lover of people, and so much more, and I hope I bring some joy into your life as I share just some of the things that I love most!
This semester, I have had the opportunity to hold the title of DTP president, and this has been such an incredible opportunity. I have had the opportunity to facilitate so much new work, as well as conversations about the types of work that we want to facilitate. Leadership is so important to me, and getting to participate in leadership while also having conversations about the art we get to facilitate, and how we can donate and use our voices to engage with and support our community and other artists, has truly been something so special to me and a memory I will cherish. Arts leadership and advocacy is something I am so incredibly passionate about.

Another thing I enjoy is exploring. Being uncomfortable is one of the most revolutionary ways to create change, and I live in all the places my comfort zone isn’t. During my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Germany, which reminded me of how much I love learning and being immersed in new experiences. Whether it is new countries, cities, or even the science building at my college, I love to explore and learn new things.
And finally, what I love most is my friends and family. I am so grateful for their endless support and the love they give me. They bring me so much joy, and I am so grateful to have so many people whom I can call home.
